Just arrived is the very pretty Nancy Halvorsen fabrics Winsome. The feature style looks like a Morning Glory vine, in peachy pinks, and soft greens. To compliment these are small checks, fine stripes with a little flower print and sweet little florals in the pinks, greens and soft yellows. To add to this is Nancy's latest book Winsome Baby featuring lots of cute patterns. Have fun with building blocks, bibs & little quilts and lots more. Happy Stitching, Lesley

Leanne's Journey of a Quilter

Hello, Last year I put together a kit of Leanne's Journey of a Quilter block of the month for Sharon from WA in blues and pinks.  Sharon added 3 fabrics of her own a dark purpley colour, blue pink & purple, and a sky blue  and as you can see the quilt looks fabulous.    Thanks Sharon for sending us a photo of your quilt.  If you would like a photo of your quilt on our blog just email us a jpg and we will post it for you.

                                                                                                                                                                              

Over the past three and half years Leanne has taught 18 classes of her block of the month quilts at the shop.  From the very first class to the last Leanne's enthusiasm has never wavered. so if you have an opportunity to do a class with Leanne don't hesitate,you will have a great time.  Last Tuesday night was the last class for Journey of a Quilter at the shop (which was a bit sad) However we are looking forward to Leanne's return to teaching next year with her new Block of the Month.  Of course we will have the patterns in the shop as soon as they become available.  In the meantime you may like to join Leanne in the 365 challenge.  mmmm I'm tempted perhaps I'll start from Tuesday night

Hip Hip Hooray!...

Our newsletter is finally done.  Lesley and I had a lovely morning on Friday having breakfast in the courtyard at the Mellow Cafe in Emerald as we waited for our printing to be done. Then we spent the rest if the day folding and taping newsletters, not our most favourite of tasks but it does give us time to do some planning and just to catch up on things.  Snail mail will be out tomorrow and emails out tonight. If you are not on our mailing list and would like a copy let us know and we will email you a copy or if you are local you may like to call into the shop and pick one up.  We have most of the samples in the shop (see Class Samples Photo Album) with just a few more to come in. 

Now that the newsletter is done we can get back to some serious blogging.  We have had a heap of stock arrive in the last week or so, including Star of Wonder Christmas fabric from Benartex.  It's Nancy Halvorsen"s new range and it is just fabulous.  We were a bit stunned when it arrived before Easter but soon got over it. We do looove our Christmas fabric.   

Now we just have to wait for the rest of our Christmas fabrics to arrive June/July.  Meanwhile a small range of cozy flannels arrived and so did our Mary Rose order.

Happy Easter.......

Time Flies

I can't believe it's been a week between blogs.  Lesley and I have been busy working on our Term 2 newsletter and class list. We still have some loose ends to tie up, but we're almost done. Then we'll be back with some serious blogging.  I have a very busy day ahead with social stitching this morning, taking care of the shop and back teaching Catch a Christmas Star by Anne Sutton a Bunny Hill design tonight..
