Here is my Ellie made from a pattern from Melly & Me Amelia chose the fabrics and today I finally gave her eyes so now she looks real and is ready to take to the Waverley Quilt Show on the weekend.
Last Saturday I workshopped the American Jane pattern called Merry Go Round with 5 great ladies.(I really must get an up to date photo of my finished sample)
We had lots of fun cutting, sewing and learning how to use the 60 degree ruler on this design. My sample is smaller than the pattern which makes a very large quilt so we needed to adapt things a little to get the scrappy look that makes this quilt look so great. Four and half hours just flew by. Below is a photo of Terry's blocks using some great reproductions fabrics including some from the Merrimack Collection. I am so tempted to make another quilt, Once the cutting is done this quilt goes together super fast but I have too many other projects to finish so it will have to go on the list.
Well I'm off to get Amelia from school, after a few teething problems I am finally mastering her camera. We have had some new Flower Sugar from Lecien arrive last week, as well as some black and white fabrics, and some jumbo ric racs. I will add some photos after the show. In the meantime happy stitching everyone. Sandra
