Grand Final

Hi Everyone,

As it is an all Victorian Grand Final on Saturday (I'm sure not too many will be around) we will be closing early on Saturday 27th Sept.,  So our hours for that day will be 9.30am - 12.30pm.

So if you need any last minute sewing goodies before the big game starts don't miss out, come in early and Ramona will take good care of you.

Sold out...

The Flower Sugar fabric has all gone.  I have spoken to the supplier and they have backordered more for us so fingers crossed we will be able to get some more.  The last few days have seen more deliveries arrive.  Last time we had a lot arrive at once was when Lesley was on holidays this time she has been sick with virus/flu thing that is going around.  I haven't had time to take photos yet, will try and get that done today.  Layer cakes, Jelly Rolls and some bolts of fabric from the Collection for A Cause from Moda and also some bolts of Recess by American Jane.  Two more bolts from Farmer's Market by Sandi Henderson I have no idea when the rest of the fabric will arrive but have been advised that the patterns by Portobello Pixie are definitely due at the end of the month. A really nice Black and White stripe has also arrived to add to our stock.  Well that's all on the fabric front.  Ciao for now. Sandra

Do you need...

this fabric.  We have been lucky to secure another bolt of the Lecien Flower Sugar linen look fabric that Leanne used in her Butterfly Garden Block of the Month Quilt.   Some of it has been spoken for by our local customers but if you have been desperately seeking this fabric give us a call or email us and we can mail order for you. Father's Day

Did everyone enjoy Father's Day? It's such a busy time of the year, Spring is just around the corner, footy finals fever, (my team the Pies, won so I'm happy this week) my daughter in law tells me Christmas decorations are in the shops already so it's a bit frightening, I would like to know where the year goes.  Peter & I dont' have dad's to share this special day with, but last night we were invited over to our son's place and had a lovely roast dinner prepared by Stacey and as we pulled in the driveway we were greeted with cries of delight from our just turned 2 year old grand daughter Hayley, "It's papa" with a big grin on her face.  She is full on, so different from her 1st birthday.

The year hasn't been kind to Stacey & Daryl with pregnancies so we are truly grateful for Hayley. Here is a pic taken last Christmas with proud dad & daughter.

I have added photos to the  What’s New, Student’s Work and Leanne’s House Class albums.  I realised when I was doing this that I don’t have an album for Customer Show and Tell.  I will create one as soon as I can.  In the meantime here is Karen with her basket of bunnies Pocket and Floss from Melly and Me

 

Last weekend was the Cotton Tales quilt exhibition of their work.  It was a great success and we raised approximately $2,500 for the local CFA.  Meri Duncanson was the lucky winner of the raffle quilt.  Here she is pictured with Sue Taylor.  (Meri is on the right)
