New Australian Quilt Book....

has finally been published and it's almost here.  We can't wait for our copies to arrive. "The Fabric of Society.  Australia's Quilt Heritage From Convict Times to 1960" by Australia's foremost quilt historian Annette Gero with patterns by Kim McLean is a hardcover book 240 pages full colour plus 29 patterns to recreate these gorgeous quilts.

Back to Work.....

Yes, our break is over.  The last 2 weeks have flown.  It's been great to be able to spend time with our families and having a bit of a declutter at home.  Now we are relaxed and refreshed and ready to go. Our opening times for the next few weeks until Fabric Frolic starts is 10.00am to 4.00pm. Bye for now Sandra and Lesley

I didn't forget....

to take a  photo of the cake.  Here it is. It turned our rather well and Amelia was rapt.  I can't take all the credit.  I did make the cake, cut the shape, made the icing and did the decorating. Graham  did the actual icing of the cake (or plastering as i like to call it).  I still haven't managed any sewing.  I have been having a good declutter of my kitchen cupboards and drawers and am feeling really good about it.  I also finished reading a book that I started before Christmas, I found it a big heavy going so am looking forward to something a bit more light hearted.  Until next time...Sandra
